Welcome to Year 1 - Julia Donaldson Class

Our class teacher is Ms Dreifuss and our teaching assistant is Mrs Anyiam.

Key information for Year 1:

Our P.E days are Wednesday and Thursday.

Children will need their P.E kits on these days. P.E kits should remain in school all week.

Homework will be given out on a Friday night and should be returned by the following Wednesday. Children should try to read at home every night and always practice their spellings.

Parents: Please try to read at home with your child every night, even just for 5-10 minutes and then sign their home reading record. It really does make a massive difference to their progression in reading and all other subjects.

All children now have a personal login for 'Mymaths' to use for their online homework, located at the front of the yellow homework book. The children love having a go at Maths games online so please, if possible, encourage them and help them as much as you can.

Please download the Seesaw app at home and keep up-to-date with all your child's learning. All children have been given their own unique QR code which will allow them (and you) to login at home. This is a great tool to allow your children to share their experiences with you, and I will set activities for you to do together. It is also a way of me sending messages to you parents and regular reminders and updates.
