Capoeira For All
This year, our children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 have been taking part in weekly Capoeria dance lessons. As well as learning the dance moves they have also learned about the history of Capoeria, its origins in Brazil, all about Brazil and even how to speak some Portuguese!
The parents and carers of the children in Key Stage 1 were treated to a special assembly performance of what has been taught and some adults even took part... whether they wanted to or not!
The parents and carers were introduced to what Capoeria is...
Don't Year 1 look fantastic...!
Year 2S show the parents and carers what they can do. I wonder if the adults know what is coming next?
... with a little help from a few of our loud children! Year 1 show their stuff!
Year 2C show how partner work and the knee-tap games works in Capoeria.
Now it is the adults' turn! Not to worry though, the children are there to help and support!
