What we are Learning this half term:

English – In English this half term, we will be immersing ourselves in the text Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. The children will be writing return story sentences and information sentences.

Maths – In Maths, we will be focusing on place value within 50.

Science – Our science topic this half term is animal groups.

History – In history we will be learning about stories from the distant past. This includes the story of Saint George and the Dragon and Robert the Bruce.

Shared Reading – In our reading lessons, we will be exploring a range of texts linking to traditional tales and poetry. They include The Leeopard's Drum and Deep in the Woods.

P.E. – PE will be on a Monday. This half term, our topic is Tennis.

PSHE – Our next PSHE topic is dreams and goals.

DT – In DT, the children will be exploring freestanding structures.
