Childline – Support for Children and Young People
At Banks Road Primary School, we want every child to know that help is always available. One of the most important sources of support for children and young people in the UK is Childline.
What is Childline?
Childline is a free, confidential service where children and young people can talk about anything—no problem is too big or too small. It’s run by the NSPCC and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Whether you're feeling worried, sad, scared, confused, or just need someone to talk to, Childline is there to listen and help.

Childline at Banks Road
We encourage all children to know about Childline and how to use it. In school, we:
- Teach children about Childline through our RSHE and safeguarding curriculum
- Display Childline posters and contact details around the school
- Support children to access Childline if they need help outside of school hours
If you’re ever unsure or need help, speak to a trusted adult in school like your teacher, Mr Savage (Deputy Headteacher), or Miss Gainey (Assistant Headteacher).
