What are we learning this term:

• English - In English this half term, we will be looking at the text 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' by Grahame Baker-Smith
  . We will be writing a cliffhanger narrative as well as a formal report 
• Maths - In maths this half term, we will be looking at multiplying 4 digit numbers by 2 digit numbers as well as short division in our mulitiplication and division topic. In our fraction topic, we will be looking at multiplying and dividing fractions.
• Science - Our science topic, this half term, is 'Forces'. 
• History - This half term we will be looking at 'Vikings 1 - Lady of the Mercians'.
• Geography - We will be looking at 'Migration' throughout this half term.
• RE - In religion, we will be looking at 'Christianity 6: Living Christian tradition'.
• PSHE - Please see attached overview for our year.
• Art - In Art this half term we will be looking at mixed media landscape. 
• PE - PE will be on a Monday this half term. Our topic is Tennis.
• Music - Every Tuesday, children in Year 5 will be practising their string instruments. Children will be required to bring in their instruments on this day.
