What are we learning this term:

• English - In English this half term, we will be looking at the text 'The Promise' by Nicola Davies. We will be writing a character narrative as well as a bargain letter.
• Maths - In maths this half term, we will be looking at decimals and percentages as well as statistics. 
• Science - Our science topic, this half term, is 'Living things and their habitats'. 
• History - This half term we will be looking at 'Norse culture'.
• Geography - We will be looking at 'North and South America' throughout this half term.
• RE - In religion, we will be looking at 'Christianity 7: The study of two Christian sites'.
• PSHE - Please see attached overview for our year.
• DT - In DT this half term we will be looking at celebrating culture and seasonality in food. 
• PE - PE will be on a Thursday this half term. Our topic is invasion games.
• Music - Every Tuesday, children in Year 5 will be practising their string instruments. Children will be required to bring in their instruments on this day.
