Welcome to Class Year 2C!

What we are learning this half term:

Maths- Addition and subtraction of 2-digit numbers and Shape. 

English- We are reading the text 'The Night Gardener' by The Fan Brothers. We will write a setting narrative and diary entry linked to this text. 

Science- Materials 

History- The Great Fire of London

PSHE- Dreams and Goals

PE- Dance. PE will take place each Friday. All children should wear their Banks Road PE kit or jogging suit on this day. 

DT- Wheels and Axles 

Homework:

Your child has also been provided with a reading book. It is expected that all children should read several times a week which is to be recorded in their reading records.

A weekly spelling list will be sent home each Friday. It is expected that all children should practise spelling the words on the list, in preparation for a class quiz the following Friday. 

Weekly Maths homework will be set on MyMaths. It is expected that all children complete one task per week on MyMaths.  https://www.mymaths.co.uk
