Welcome to class page- 4G

 

What we are learning this half term:

 

English- In English this half term, we will be immersing ourselves in the book' The Lost Happy Endings.' The children will be learning how to use fronted adverbials, expanded noun phrases, alternative nouns, similies and inverted commas for speech.

Maths- In maths, we will be looking at length and perimeter and fractions. 

Science- We will be learning about living things and their habitats.

History- Over the next five weeks, we will be studying Christianity in three empires. 

Geography- We will be learning all about Tourism.

Religion- We will be learning about The death and ressurection of Jesus.

PSHE- In PSHE, we will be learning 'Healthy Me.'

PE- We have the pleasure of LFC coaches training the children every Thursday.

Design Technology- We will be looking at simple circuits and switches of electrical systems. Our DT showcase will be on Thursday 26th March at 3.30pm.

Music- Children will continue learning how to play either the viola, Violin or cello every Monday afternoon. 

 

Homework- Children to complete TTRS for 10 minutes every night to prepare them for their MTC in May/June 2026.

Your child has been given a reading record and a reading book at their level and should read every night. Children should bring in their reading records every Thursday to be stamped.

Children are gven 10 spellings to practice at home related to that weeks spelling rule, ready for a weekly spelling test on Thursday afternoons. 

Children to complete activities on maths.co.uk weekly.
